There may be those who, for various reasons, feel that a Noble Title would not be appropriate for them – but who nevertheless wish to be associated with The Prince and to share his ideals.
His Excellency, The Prince DOUGLAS, is willing to offer to worthy persons, the Favour of an Honorary Colonelcy in The Prince’s Own Hussars or The Prince’s Own Dragoons. These are Regiments of Honour, descended in principle from the lightly mounted Franco-Greek horse troops recruited from the local populace after the establishment of the Frankish Principalities in the 13th Century Latin Empire of Constantinople.
Since The Prince holds his fief as a Prince Palatine within the Empire, it is his pleasure to commemorate such horse troops by the issuing of Certificates of Investiture with the Title of Honorary Colonel. The Certificates issued are identical to those of the Nobility of the Principality.
Candidates who put forth their names are asked to produce the following:
The same requirements apply for those being nominated by a third party.
Candidates are asked (in lieu of Fees for enrolment) to supply a receipt on official stationery from an international aid agency of repute, such as; Red Cross, UNICEF, Oxfam, Doctors Without Borders, etc., acknowledging a donation of at least $250 (U.S.) for relief aid to a war zone.
This, plus a modest Scrivener’s Fee of $50 (U.S.) to our Heraldic Artist will facilitate enrolment into the Ranks of Honour in the Regiment specified.
The letter of Application (or Nomination) should indicate which of the conditions referred to above is germane (military service, demonstrated militaria collection or military articles published) and the Regiment in which membership is being requested.
Candidates are requested to apply to the Chancellery of the Principality, in care of our Agents, Nobilitat Regalia-CB.
Please provide Fees in U.S. funds and in the form of a Money Order, Bank Draught or Certified Cheque. Personal cheques require 4-8 weeks to clear and engender a further delay in the granting of Applications.
